Susanville and Oroville

My family decided to meet up in California this year. My mom turned 70 on June 1st and Virginia turns 70 on July 7th and we wanted to celebrate these ladies. I started my trek to California on June 20th. Loralie, Nancy and I rode together. We went to Susanville first because it is the only place I could get a dog grooming appointment for Moki. I have no idea why it is so hard right now to get grooming appointments.

I woke up early on Tuesday and took Tyla and Moki for a walk. We walked 5 miles. It felt great after driving all day on Monday.

Tyla took a little nap on our walk.
She is so stinking cute.
I love spending time with this baby. She is also walking all over the place now.

It was a great stop and then we headed to my mom's in Oroville.

Oroville is so hot and dry. It was over 100 degrees everyday we were there. BLAH! I didn't take any pictures in Oroville. I do not know why. We were so productive. earlier in the year when we were planning the trip Amanda had mentioned that we should help my mom with some stuff since we were all coming home. We ended up getting so much done.

Wednesday I woke up and went on an early bike ride. Anthony, Caleb, Sam and I started cleaning out the yellow shed at 8:30am. We emptied the entire shed by early afternoon. Frank Gomez was nice enough to drop off his trailer and we completely filled it. The shed is now empty. Meanwhile Amanda, Loralie, Nancy and my mom were tackling shelves in the house. They got so much done as well. We went up and swam and Kevin and Liz's house in the afternoon. They have a beautiful new home and pool. Then we headed to Hula's for dinner. Ben, Katie and family joined us as well as Dan, Megan and Brooke. The Stutzneggers were kind enough to let people stay up at their house. That was truly a life savor. They are so great.

Thursday we did more de-junking. We ended up taking four truck loads of stuff to the dump. Cliz Townsend came to the rescue and let us borrow her truck. We emptied the entire bike shed and other things in the house/shed that are garbage. It was another very hot day. Amanda again worked in the house and we also had a bunch of stuff we were able to donate to goodwill. My mom's house and property has a lot less stuff on it. We swam again at the Roberstsons. Keith and Susan stopped by and visited. It was so great to see them. I love them so much. Keith has been so helpful to my mom.

Amanda and I went to Chico and did a Costco run for McCloud. That took a long tome. We bought so much food. Someone had to do it but man it was a lot. The Robertsons have an extra fridge in their guesthouse and we were able to store the food there for the night which was life saving.

Friday morning we got up and headed to McCloud after breakfast. It is a three hour drive so once we got the food organized we got on the road!

I was recently called to serve in young womens as the second counselor. It has been so fun to work with the young women in my ward. I love them and am inspired by their goodness. I love the young womens program and am so thankful for it helped me develop and grow while in my teens.

One day I was at Sam and Amanda's. I used Audrey's doll to convince her to let me do her hair. I made them have matching pig tails.

Andrew and I went on a bike ride. It was a hard one because we went up the canyon by his house. It was all uphill on the way there. It really challenged him and he did so great. I was really proud of him for working so hard.
Moki and I have spent so much time on trails. I have so many pictures of her like this. Love my cute pup.

Archie

Thank and Erica went to Europe with their kids. Their neighbors were watching Archie but I got the chance to have him for a few days. He is the sweetest pup. I loved having him around to bug Moki and hike with us. He is so cute and friendly. I just love him so much.

One day he grabbed his blankie out of the crate and was chewing on it.

We hiked everyday. We went up to the Rock Canyon on the Saturday I had him. He and Moki did great.
I made him stay on the leash because I was too afraid of something happening to him. I felt bad but since he isn't my dog I didn't want to risk it. He didn't seem to mind.
One day we did the shoreline trail in the afternoon and it was pretty hot. After I took Moki and Archie to the river so they could cool off. Archie wasn't so sure about it but Moki got in and laid down. She loves the water so much.

Post hike naps for everyone

It was fun to have another fur buddy for a couple days.

Garth Brooks!!!!!

I am not someone who goes to concerts. They have never really been my thing. I just spend money on other things and I don't love them. Well that changed when Caleb got tickets to Garth Brooks. He got two and I told him I would love to join him. It was the best concert ever!!!!! Everyone knows Garth is known for being a greta performer so I was so excited to see him in real life. I also know almost all of his songs and love them. It was such a fun night!

I loved all of the songs he performed. It was an added bonus that Trisha came out at the end and sang Shallow with him and then sang her hit In Love With a Boy, one of my all time favorite country songs.

It was such a fun night. It left me singing Garth Brook songs for the next week.

Tyla came to town!

Tyla came to visit, which means Aaron and Jacklyn came as well. It was so fun to have them in town for a quick visit. They were here for a wedding. I loved having them stay with me and getting to spend time with them.

Tyla is the sweetest, squishiest baby.

She was so excited to run around with Audrey and Emerson. Audrey was so excited to have matching swimsuits. Audrey even let us do her hair for the occasion, that is a very rare occurance.
We went to the park.

Then we headed to the Provo Rec Center for some swimming.

Try and tell me there are cuter cousins anywhere.

Tyla tried out the sandbox. It was not her favorite.
Sunday we went to my ward and then hung out. Eventually we headed to Dan's for dinner.

It was a short weekend that went by so fast. Love these California people and love when we get to spend time with them!

Audrey's Dance Recital

How do you win the hearts of all the Brown's? Have the cutest niece ever perform in a dance recital. It was so fun to watch Audreys lit...
