My friends from high school Jana, Angelee, Erica, Katie Vaughn, Katie Lowry, and myself have had a girls weekend planned for so long. We were all supposed to go to Vegas and hang out at Katie (Lowry) Call's house. We had tickets to a Shania Twain concert and we were so excited. We were supposed to arrive in Vegas March 12th and 13th. All this virus stuff altered our weekend. First of all Katie (Vaughn) Ritchie could not come. She had to fly through Seattle and there are so many cases of Covid there, it is not really safe. The rest of us were able to come on time but we limited our activities because of the illness which has now been called a pandemic. We still had a great time hanging out and visiting. We still ate out but skipped the concert. It was so good to see these girls that I love so much!
Picking up Angelee from the airport!
We were so excited to all be there.
We had to grab a bag of ice for Angelee. She can't live without it.
We went to lunch on the way back from the airport. Then we headed to Katie's and just hung out. We can laugh and talk for hours. Really that is what we did most of the weekend because we couldn't go anywhere.
Katie had some fun photo props for us!
For dinner we went to Echo. The weather in Vegas is nice right now so we sat on the balcony and enjoyed a beautiful evening and yummy food.
Saturday morning we woke up and played some pickleball. We actually did that Friday morning as well I just don't have any pictures. Erica, Jana and I love pickleball. Angelee was a good sport and joined us while Katie took pictures. The sun felt amazing.
After pickleball we spent a very long time in the hot tub. Lucky for us Katie has a beautiful yard.
Saturday was supposed to be our concert. It was actually the only one in Vegas that hadn't been cancelled. Weird! We opted not to go. We need to be safe and think of others. We did go to dinner though. We took some pictures before we left for dinner in the shirts Angelee made!
Missing Katie Ritchie:(
The evening was gorgeous.
These girls are seriously the best. ia m proud of all that we have accomplished in the last 20 years. Life is easy for no one and there have been challenges for all of us. I am so grateful I can still rely on them to lift me up and be my friend.
The weekend went so fast. Real life definitely doesn't stop. Sunday Erica, Jana and I were headed home in the car to get back to work and families. Angelee hopped on a plane Sunday as well. It felt so good to stay up way too late, laugh so much and just catch up. I was very tired when I got home but I would do it again in a heart beat. Life is WAY better with these girls in it.
