Amber and I backpacked the Uintas for labor day. It was a beautiful weekend and we did a new to us hike. It was beautiful and quick. It feels like there is endless adventure in that area of Utah and so it is always fun to make it up there to explore. We hiked up to Naturalist Basin. Slept, hiked a loop of lakes the next morning, and hiked out.
There are so many lakes and it is just so beautiful.
We missed our turn, it was very poorly marked, we were very happy to get to camp.
This is where we missed a turn. It is not obvious and I was very annoyed.
There is a huge burn section you hike through. It looks so cool.
It was a great weekend trip. I am glad we made it work. It was the only backpacking I was able to do all summer.
