Last hurrah in Banff and heading home

July 12th was our last day in Banff. we had enough time for a morning hike and then we had to get on the road. We were trying to drive 7-8 hours as well. We weren't sure what hike to do and we settled on one close to Banff, Sulphur mountain. Many people hike this hike but there are also many people that just ride the gondola up for the views. It is 3.4 miles to the top and has 28 switchbacks. That takes a little longer than you would think, especially at the end of a hiking vacation. We were tired but we did it. Again the days we were in Banff were really hazy and so we didn't get the really clear mountain pictures you see. That was a bummer. The 360 view from the top was amazing I am sure without the haze it is way better.

After the hike we got on the road and started to make our way back to Utah. We spent the night at a ghetto Motel 6 in Helena Utah. It was pretty scary but cheap. Then just drove the entire next day. This was such a fun trip. I was nervous to camp for so long but it ended up not being bad. If I did it again I think I would still camp. We also saw 8 bear. Three black bears and five grizzlies, that made the trip an even bigger success.
